2027 is on the horizon, and so is another round of multifamily conferences. To help apartment pros plan ahead, Multifamily Dive has compiled a list of industry events with detail about their dates, locations and areas of focus.
Major topics at these conferences include capital, acquisitions, development, artificial intelligence and proptech, housing policy, maintenance and operations, marketing, design, building trends and much more.

NMHC Apartment Strategies Conference
Jan. 26
Aria Resort & Casino, Las Vegas
The National Multifamily Housing Council’s one-day outlook conference convenes multifamily executives, investors, economists, researchers and analysts to discuss what will shape apartment markets in the next year and beyond, offering “intelligence leaders need to make near-term decisions with confidence.” Topics include economic conditions, development, capital, operating performance and renter demand. The event is scheduled the day before NMHC’s Annual Meeting and is open to both members and non-members.

Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York City
This annual expo is NYC’s largest construction and design show, according to the organizers, and covers a wide range of topics, including facilities management, marketing, building materials and tall building construction. It draws contractors, architects, engineers, developers, owners, government representatives and others from around the region who want to connect with other built environment pros and learn about projects and opportunities.
The Big Million Dollar Trade Show & Landlording Conference

Apartment Owners of California’s annual event draws apartment developers, investors, builders, owners, operators and others in the industry. It features landlording seminars with experts who are knowledgeable about California issues as well as national speakers, although the exact dates and lineup have not yet been released.
Apartment Innovation & Marketing Conference
May 2-5
Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa in Huntington Beach, California
Billed as a “serious gathering for people who need to make business decisions,” AIM’s 2027 lineup includes 30 stage sessions, a reverse trade show, 40 small-group roundtables and hundreds of meetups. The event is limited to executives who own and operate multifamily units.
Building Innovation Conference
May 4-5
The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, McLean, Virginia
The National Institute of Building Science’s annual event draws leaders in government, community planning, the AEC industry, research and academia and more to discuss “coordinated innovation across the built environment.” Sessions cover digital delivery, building codes, housing, capital investment strategies and adaptive design. The 2026 event spotlighted modular offsite construction and systems of systems, and examined “how interconnected infrastructure affects resilience.”

Seattle Convention Center, Seattle
The Urban Land Institute’s event covers “the industry’s most relevant challenges, emerging opportunities, and topics shaping the future of the built environment.” This year’s lineup has not yet been released, but last year’s event included tours of developments and sessions on challenges and opportunities in real estate, including topics like opportunity zones, project financing, federal policy, mixed-use development and the global apartment investment climate.
Stick around for ULI’s Resilience Summit the following day on May 14, its flagship climate adaptation event that draws industry pros from around the world to “address the challenges and harness the opportunities posed by climate risks.”
June 15-17
Denver
The yearly event, hosted by the National Apartment Association, features celebrity speakers and 90 sessions with more than 250 industry experts covering topics like maintenance, operations, leasing, affordable housing, marketing, leadership and other industry trends. Although a specific agenda has not yet been released, the packed conference will include intimate, interactive sessions as well as an exhibit hall that’s open Wednesday and Thursday.

Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia
The Urban Land Institute’s fall version of its biannual meeting. ULI has not yet released the lineup for 2027, but last year’s autumn event included tours of developments and sessions on challenges and opportunities in real estate, including topics like AI risk, project financing, adaptive reuse and housing policy.

George R. Brown Convention Center, Houston, Texas
Organized by residential construction platform The Build Show, this building science-focused conference is targeted at builders and contractors. Its workshops and sessions focus on training, education and trends in home construction. It also offers site tours so participants can see “the latest building techniques and design trends up close.”

The Venetian, Las Vegas
This industry event targets real estate and construction execs, tech startups, investors and other “innovators changing the built world.” The 2027 agenda will have a strong focus on net operating income and “results-oriented” technology.

Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, Lake Buena Vista, Florida
The Florida Apartment Association’s annual conference and trade show brings together more than 1,000 industry professionals each year for education sessions, networking opportunities and a show floor with more than 240 exhibitors.

Las Vegas
NMHC’s OPTECH event is focused on multifamily technology and operations and is open to Real Estate Technology and Transformation Center members. Past events have covered AI, automation, cybersecurity, data management, policy and customer experience. According to the organizers, “OPTECH is built for those leaders serious about advancing rental housing—and committed to a more connected, effective vision for real estate and technology.”

This two-day annual event, “curated by female executives, for female executives,” convenes influential women in commercial real estate to build community, bolster their business and professional development and “tackle the most pressing issues facing the industry.” The event also honors outstanding industry leaders with an awards program, and attendees get a year of access to GlobeSt’s peer-to-peer group The Hive.
