Bell Partners has named Sparkle Mixson its new senior vice president of customer experience and marketing, the Greensboro, North Carolina-headquartered apartment owner and operator announced in a press release earlier this month.
In this role, Mixson will lead the company’s strategic customer experience initiatives, marketing, brand development and digital engagement efforts across its portfolio. She will be based in the firm’s Atlanta corporate office.

In a statement, Bell Partners CEO and President Lili Dunn said Mixson “brings a proven track record of driving growth, innovation and customer engagement. Her expertise and vision will be instrumental as we continue to grow our footprint and elevate our brand across our nationwide portfolio.”
Mixson has over 20 years of experience in driving customer acquisition, leading teams, building brands and enhancing lifecycle marketing, according to the release.
Most recently, as the senior vice president of marketing and brand experience at Marietta, Georgia-based First Key Homes, Mixson was instrumental in scaling the company's portfolio from 5,000 to over 52,000 homes during her eight-year tenure, per the release. Before that, she was a vice president of marketing for seven years at Atlanta-headquartered real estate firm First Communities.
Mixson is a graduate of Strayer University and serves on the Zillow Rental Advisory Board, where she has helped shape industry best practices.
“I’m honored to join Bell Partners at such an exciting time in its growth,” said Mixson in the release. “I look forward to collaborating with our talented team to build on the company’s strong foundation and drive meaningful connections with our residents.”
This is not the only leadership change at Bell recently: In July, the firm announced that Sarah Young was appointed to succeed John Tomlinson as chief financial officer. Bell Partners is ranked No. 14 on 2025 National Multifamily Housing Council’s Top 50 Manager list, with 88,407 units across the country.
